Bună Ziua, Copii Din Romania (RO)

The “Bună Ziua, Copii din Romania” Association is a nongovernmental organization active in the field of child protection, created in 1996 in Netherlands (Buna Ziua, kinderen in Roemenie), and in Romania the birth certificate” was dated in 22 November 1999.
Bună Ziua, Copii din Romania is a member of FONPC (The Federation of the NGOs in the Child Protection - 2001), PROFAS (The Romanian Professional Federation of the NGOs in Social Assistance – 2002) and of the network SIPI NET (Social Information, Partnership and Innovation Network) (2004).
Since 2006, „Buna Ziua, Copii din Romania” has been accredited as a social services purveyor by the Social Services Purveyor's Committee of Accreditation Vaslui for the following services: social counseling, psychological counseling, socialization and spending leisure time and information provided to children separated or at risk of separation from their parents.

Mission is to contribute to the improvement of the protection and education of children, family, community by quality prevention and intervention services, as well as to promoting, the mentality's reform.

Projects:

. The „The Play Room” Project- Counseling and Support Centre for Parents and Children (2006-2007) has as purpose to forestall that 30 children proceeding from socially marginalized families (families with many children in maintenance, single parent families, rroma families) through the development of educational activities, complementary to those provided by the educational institutions, improving the relations between parents and the child through psychological counseling and making the parents more responsible, the development of healthy habits and behaviors in bringing up and tending children throng social counseling.

2. Innovative integration of Video Interaction Training and e-learning in an European context. (2006-2008) has as purpose the stimulation of European co-operation regarding the usage of the video-interaction training method in social services and the development of new working instruments (e-learning) for rooting the method.

3. The Socio-professional integration project of the youngsters in the placement centers (2003 – 2004), had as main target group 12 youngsters leaving the placement center and it had as results forming independent life skills and finding jobs for the 12 youngsters.

4. The Project „Video Inteaction Guidance in the child protection services” was developed in partnership with „Buna Ziua, kinderen in Roemenie” and Saxion College in Netherlands and had as purpose the training of 15 specialists from Buna Ziua, Copii din Romania” and D.G.A.S.P.C. Vaslui in VIG method

5. The Trilateral Cooperation Contract (January 2003 – January 2005) between Jarabee Youth Care Twente – Direction of child Protection Vaslui – Buna Ziua, Copii din Romania. The triangle contract had as purpose sharing the experience and knowledge of the 3 institutions. The trainings had a major contribution in extending the aria of instruments and methods used in working with children and youngsters in difficulty.
6. Volunteering project for children with handicap (2004) had as purpose the preparation of 48 children with severe mental handicap from Placement Center Giurcani to the new center in Barlad, in conditions of emotional security. The project had as results the development of verbal, motric, cognitive, and emotional superior behaviors and a much better adaptation of the children to the new environment conditions.

7. Volunteering projects (2000 – 2005) were developed every year in 5 placement centers of Direction of Child Protection Vaslui, The Complex of Communitarian Services for Children with Handicap in Barlad, „Betania” NGO Barlad. The projects were developed with the aid of 250 volunteers that beneficiated of training courses held by Romanian and Dutch trainers. The results of the project are in spare time programs for 700 children, diminution of the effects of the institutionalization on physical and emotional development of the children, changing the attitude of the volunteers towards volunteering.

8. NGO forum in Barlad (2001 – 2002) – initiative of our organization with the purpose of creating a NGO local network capable of offering social services, complementary to the ones offered by the local public institutions and concentrated on of the needs of the community.
9. The project: The Transformation of the placement centersin family type centers (1999-2002) was developed in 5 placement centers in Vaslui county (Barlad, Vaslui, Falciu) and had as goal the implementation of the family type work principles. As a result of the project, 500 children from the placement centers beneficiated of spare time programs and their life environment became more pleasant; 291 specialists (teachers, nurses, and instructors) improved their knowledge concerning educating and caring the abandoned children; 10 Romanian specialists beneficiated of the counseling and experience of 10 Dutch specialists that worked in mixed teams in each placement centers.
